SAILLE is a Belgian melodic black metal band, formed in 2009 and has released five acclaimed full albums to date.
Currently SAILLE is finishing their 6th full album, entitled ‘Forebode’ and set for release in autumn 2025.
For over 15 years now, SAILLE has brought Melodic Black Metal with impressive live performances to festival stages all over Europe.
The band is known for using many real classical- and rare instruments for studio recordings, and occasionally on live shows as well.
Vocalwise there is clean singing, black screams, choirs and grunts on every album.
Lyrically SAILLE deals with ‘The fearful, the uncanny and the weird’ and each album has one subject as a red line throughout the tracks.
SAILLE (ᚄ) is the fourth letter of the Ogham alphabet, meaning ‘willow’ and related to the Latin word salix.
The band name is pronounced [sahl-yeh].
